Algorithms are all around us and are increasingly making decisions about more and more important aspects of our lives without us often even being aware that they exist. When we ask for a loan, when we look for a job, when we apply for insurance. But are they impartial when it comes to making decisions? Gemma Galdón thinks they often are not. She is an expert on this subject.
At our event we will listen to her talk and then discuss this topic with her.

We invited Gemma Galdón. She is a scientific expert in ethics for the Directorate General for Research and Innovation of the European Commission and is a member of the advisory council of Privacy International and Data & Ethics. In addition, in 2020 she was incorporated together with Eticas Consulting to the international network of social innovators of Ashoka, the organization that identifies, connects and accompanies the leaders of social innovation around the world.
