On the 11th of May, a malicious software – the virus WannaCry was able to compromise various computers of the internal network of Telefonica. This caused the company to ask all of its employees of the Madrid office to switch off their computers. Various other companies worldwide have been attacked as well. How could this happen? Can this occur again in the future? How fragile are we respect to cyberattacks and can we protect ourselves from these threats? How?

The subject of cybersecurity is very complex and for an introduction into this subject we recommend to watch these TED talks:
