TEDxBarcelonaSalon 4.3.13

At our TEDxBarcelonaSalon events we foster networking, dialog and the discussion among all members of TEDxBarcelona. In order to achieve this we meet once a month and listen to an interesting talk. After watching the talk we discuss about the presented subject. In order to make this event effective we limit the number of attendees.

Our March-TEDxBarcelonaSalon event took place on Monday, 4th of March at 18:45 at the library Excellence (C/ Balmes 191).

Why do we lie?

Jeff Hancock is a Professor of Cognitive Science and Communications at Cornell University. Jeff analyzes the communication between people and shows us that in general people do lie and decept much more than expected. The question here is why we do this. And is it OK to lie in certain situations? In his talk he explains us the reasons and in which situations we lie and decept most.
We watched his talk altogether (video in english) and afterwards discussed about the subject presented.
Jeff Hancock

We finished the event with networking and a glass of wine.
