At our TEDxBarcelonaSalon events we foster networking, dialog and the discussion among all members of TEDxBarcelona. In order to achieve this we meet once a month and listen to an interesting talk. After watching the talk we discuss about the presented subject. In order to make this event effective we limit the number of attendees.

Our October-TEDxBarcelonaSalon event took place on Monday, 7th of October at 19:00 at the library Excellence (C/ Balmes 191).

Juan Enriquez: Your online life, permanent as a tattoo

What if Andy Warhol had it wrong, and instead of being famous for 15 minutes, we’re only anonymous for that long? In this short talk, Juan Enriquez looks at the surprisingly permanent effects of digital sharing on our personal privacy. He shares insight from the ancient Greeks to help us deal with our new “digital tattoos.” Juan Enriquez thinks and writes about profound changes that genomics will bring in business, technology, and society.

First we watched a video together. As always, afterwards we discussed about the content presented (in spanish) among all attendees. We finished the event with networking and a glass of cava.
