At our TEDxBarcelonaSalon events we foster networking, dialog and the discussion among all members of TEDxBarcelona. In order to achieve this we meet once a month and listen to an interesting talk. After watching the talk we discuss about the presented subject. In order to make this event effective we limit the number of attendees.

Our September-TEDxBarcelonaSalon event took place on Monday, 2nd of September at 19:00 at the library Excellence (C/ Balmes 191).

Malte Spitz: How much do they know about me?

The german Malte Spitz wanted to know how much information his phone company stores of him. He made various requests and got finally this information. He then was surprised about the amount of personal and private data these companies store. After the NSA-scandal we should not be surprised about it. Do we really want them to store so much data about us? Do we care? These and other questions will be discussed after watching the video of Malte Spitz (english with subtitles) he gave in june at TED Global.

We finished the event with networking and a glass of cava.
